We truly enjoyed our tour with Savannah Dan. So much nicer than riding around in a bus with a canned tour. Enjoyed the information that he gave us. Great tips on places to eat also.

Knowledgeable, friendly and well researched, Dan was a pleasant and informative guide to the city. He expands upon he history books (doing research with historical society materials) and frequently coming upon facts that are conveniently forgotten in histories. These are frequently incorporated into the tour.

Dan was very knowledgeable and friendly! Do this tour first to familiarize yourself with the historic district and get some great recommendations on restaurants as well!

We signed up for a couple of walking tours with different operators and enjoyed them both: Savannah Dan Walking Tours and Savannah Rambles. I was slightly concerned that we would get too much duplication, but it was not the case. Dan offers a very humorous...More

Not all walking tours are the same. This one is about the story behind the facts. Dan makes it very interesting and fun! Highly recommend!

It was a wonderful, funny and informative tour. Whenever I saw some bus or trolley of tourists passing by I would think how sad they would pay the same price and get well intentioned but canned history tour. I highly recommend Dan, a local treasure.

Yes it does center on the history and the relation of the squares to each other. Dan mixed the history and the current very nicely . Dan has a unique abilitynto make the tour interesting for young and old alike.

The walk is never more than a couple blocks at a time. The heat and humidity should be a consideration as well. We went in January and it was unseasonably hot then.
