Visited the hiking trails here along with my spouse and our golden retriever. Great trail network with some scenic views of the water and oyster shell rings dating back hundreds of years. Trails are well-marked and maintained.

Stayed here for a week to attend a family wedding in Savannah. It has been great, large sites, quiet and shaded. The only draw back is it is faitly expensive for a state park but they do offer senior discounts.

Beautiful park, we went on a kayaking trip from here and it was refreshing to get out of the city proper on such a hot day. And we saw dolphins in the river!

We would have liked to explore more of the trails in this park but the Big Ferry trail was very nice and just long enough for a leisurely afternoon hike. Lots of shade and breezes to ward off the heat.

We stayed here for 4 nights while on vacation in Savannah. The park is impecable. Clean, large sites. Almost all are pull thru sites. The hiking was wonderful. We had more fun in the park than we did in Savannah.

Quiet, secluded feeling location, but not too far from all the tourist sites you'd want to visit. Close enough to Savannah and Tybee Island. Easy to find campground and spacious campsites. Could use a little more signage at each loop entrance.

Really flat walk on mostly all natural trail. Key highlights are old deciduous trees with tall full canopy, views of marshland, and waterways. Wildlife was thousands of mud crabs, some egrets, blue claw crabs in shallows, once saw a great heron. Overall, a nice 3.5...More

We came across this park while on vacation and decided to ride bikes on the trails. The park and restrooms are very clean and the campsite areas are really quiet. One hour bike rentals for two and park admission was around $15 with military discount....More

We're full time travelers with a 43' coach. We like to visit areas of interest and stay nearby, so Skidaway looked suitable for doing that for Savannah. The sites are large once you get to them through the narrow roads. Rustic with lots of trees...More

The hurricanes really tore up this place, but so what? It's a wonderful walk and wild. I wish more emphasis was placed on the Civil War bits that are there. It feels hallowed when you stop and think of the history here. Super nice to...More

Absolutely. We walk our dog, on leash there often! I don't know if the leash is a requirement. There are always kitties at the campgrounds. Savannah is pet friendly as a rule in any case.

We rented a car for three days from Enterprise. They come over to the camp ground and pick you up, take you over to the office and fill out the paper work and you are good to go. Think it was like 32 dollars a day.

I'd call the park office. I've never camped there, but it seems to be a very popular campground. You should have no problem.
