We travel around in a motor home quite a bit and this is one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. We made reservations 6 month ago and right now the permenent sign says full. About 6 miles from downtown Savanna.

The Savannah Visitor Center actual made my arrangements since they had stopped all RV parking that very morning. At first I dreaded it because of the proximity to town but it was beautiful. Lot's of places to walk my dog too. I love it

Skidaway Island SP is high on our list of state parks. The location is good, the sites are good, the facilities are good, and access to Savannah, Tybee Island, etc. is good. This is a park worth making a reservation for. Someone mentioned a concern...More

Great place to camp! Quiet and peaceful. Plenty of trails that take you through the marshes and to the intercoastal waterway. Close enough to Savannah that you can take in the sites there. The bugs did get bad around 4-6pm every evening. Tiki torches really...More

This is a peaceful place to visit and get back to nature. Camping, fishing, you name it, fee's are reasonable if you like to camp.

We have been to Skidaway several times. It is always clean and well kept. There isn't a bad site in the place. Rangers are friendly and it is so close to Savannah and Tybee Island. Great seafood almost anywhere. Lots of trails and excellent bike...More

We had a very lovely stroll while waiting to get into our rental house downtown. The mossy woods & marsh were lovely & fairly scenic. We enjoyed the nature center, too. The playground was mainly designed for littler kids, just as an FYI. We were...More

It's $5 to get in and there are several different trails to walk. We really enjoyed this state park and you can't get lost. While we were here some of the trails were closed because of hurricane Irma damage but that can't be helped. It...More

Absolutely. We walk our dog, on leash there often! I don't know if the leash is a requirement. There are always kitties at the campgrounds. Savannah is pet friendly as a rule in any case.

We rented a car for three days from Enterprise. They come over to the camp ground and pick you up, take you over to the office and fill out the paper work and you are good to go. Think it was like 32 dollars a day.

I'd call the park office. I've never camped there, but it seems to be a very popular campground. You should have no problem.
