You are invited to walk with me as I use Savannah's architectural history...

You are invited to walk with me as I use Savannah's architectural history as a visual aid to tell the history of Savannah's innovative city plan, icredible mix of architectural styles, and generations of diverse people who have created America's most uniquely beautiful city. I have been personally involved with the restoration of numerous buildings within Savannah's historic districts and can offer a unique perspective among tour guides.

We took a private tour with Dirk of Savannah. He is a wealth of knowledge and tells you all about the history, the architecture and everything in between. It was supposed to be a two hour tour that was more like 21/2 hours as he had so much information to share with us. He is passionate about his city, Savannah... More

We took two tours with Dirk. After our first tour, we asked if he toured the southern part of the Historic District. He said he did have a second tour and offered to do that one as well. So, lucky us, we had two tours with Dirk. He is knowledgeable in architecture. Along with the history of Savannah, you also... More

We had one day in Savannah and I'd read rave reviews on TA about this walking tour of Savannah architecture and history. TA once again is spot on with advice! Dirk met us at Johnson Square and we thoroughly the 2+ hr walking tour. He has this tour down! Lots of architectural knowledge and sharing of the city's history too.... More

We took this tour during a stay in Savannah and Dirk was really incredible. He is worth every penny (in fact you get WAY more than you pay for). Dirk is so knowledgeable and passionate about his town and it made us more excited about our visit. The tour was supposed to go for two hours and Dirk spend at... More

My husband and I had visited Savannah twice before and done a trolley tour and some carriage and walking ghost tours. We wanted a different perspective on this trip and I love the architecture in Savannah, so we signed up for Dirk's tour. We really got to learn a lot about the city's design, the various influences on the architecture,... More

Not only did we thoroughly enjoy our time rambling with Dirk, we also found that what we learned enabled us to see much more than we otherwise would have during the rest of our time walking in Savannah. We learned all about Savannah's history through architectural detail. Strongly recommend to others.

Dirk Hardison is an excellent guide. Well educated and well travelled, he brought the Savannah squares, architecture and history to life for us. While the tour was only supposed to be for 2 hours, we were so engaged that the time flew by and it was a full 2 1/2 hours by the time we were finished. We felt like... More

We go on tours in every city we visit. Dirk by far was the very best we've ever been on. Never seen a tour guide with so much knowledge in every single possible area that anyone would have questions on. DO NOT MISS THIS ONE.

Dirk was incredibly informed and knowledgeable about both the history and the architecture of Savannah. Definitely one of the highlights of our visit. We learned so much, he is a wealth of knowledge! This tour is a " not to be missed" in Savannah. It is a pleasant walk, not strenuous at all. We will recommend this trip to everyone,... More
