My wife and I were visiting Savannah and stayed in the Historic District, what a beautiful part of the country and the people we met along the way were simply amazing.

Hot!!!! That’s to be expected in August. However, the tree covered parks in the district made it comfortable. To get a true sense of the area take the trolley tour to sit back and learn of the history of the area.

This is a wonderfully romantic place to spend a day or two walking and absorbing history. To learn that Savannah was founded specifically to give poor folks an opportunity to thrive, was a planned community laid out in grids and organized in wards, and set...More

Always interesting to walk through Savannah. Learn something new each time we visit. We go once every couple of years. Quiet and low key.

What a beautiful day. The recommendation will be 5 star !! Enjoy the "lazy" downtown of Savannah, meet locals, sit on "Gump" 's banc. Enjoy the housing (17/18/19th Century ) Chill at terraces... Savannah has it all! 5 star I no kidding you 😊

The Historic District is easy to walk and I suggest you take more than one day to see it. There is much history to learn. There is also a huge variety of shops for clothing, jewelry and art. Restaurants are found on almost every street.

A visual will be easier... On Google, go to the Savannah Chamber of Commerse's website. There you will find a map showing the historic district, plus additional information.

This response will be from the perspective of being in the Historic Section only. A few hours will be hard to do it justice and take it all in. But...parking around Lafayette Square is on-street only and is generally... More
