Mr. Phil did a great job guiding the tour. Highly suggest the walking tour over a trolley tour as Mr. Phil knows Savannah backwards and forwards. I'm sure there are other highly rated tour guides in Savannah, but I wouldn't want a tour with them as long as Mr. Phil is giving tours!

We signed up for the Backstories and Scandals tour. It ended up being just the three of us (two paying adults and a non-paying baby). He did the tour anyway. It was a great experience. He knows the city inside and out, and does a very good job. While summer might not be the time to take this tour mid-afternoon,... More

I took a Backstories and Scandals tour 4 years ago with my mother and liked it so much that I booked the same tour for my husband and I last week. Phil did not disappoint. His stories are well researched, informative, and entertaining. He has a true passion for his profession. We cannot wait to come back to Savannah again... More

Phil is considerate of everyone's needs while walking and adjusts the tour to your interests. Great time! You can't go wrong. He loves this city and lives in the historic district so he knows the people and places intimately. Very knowledgeable!

I booked a private trip with Phil for my family trip and it was worth every penny. Some background here: my parents and aunt were visiting from overseas. They have a good command of English as their second language and want to see Savannah from a local's point of view, but an informative public tour may just be a bit... More

We had a fantastic walk around historic Savannah with Phil. He was knowledgeable, engaging, interesting and generous with his time and appreciation of his beautiful city. I can thoroughly recommend this tour as a way to get to know Savannah from the ground.

We had a two hour private walking tour with Phil, who rearranged his entire day to accommodate an unusual time request. Phil is personable and knowledgeable, and clearly loves showing visitors around Savannah! We will be sure to go on another tour with him when we return next winter. He has so much to say that I am certain not... More

We had a very informative 2 hour walk with Philip, the owner of Old City Walks. We've taken a lot of tours and this man is up there with the best of them. We learned so much about Antebellum architecture, was introduced to some neat stores and eateries, and enjoyed sharing the love this man has for his charming city.... More
