We came across this little gem by accident. For what they have there on display it is very well done. Mostly operated by volunteers I think. So money is tight. There are tours one can sign up for but these are in addition to the...More

The buildings were beautiful; it was hands-on experiences; favorite car was The Atlanta, an executive passenger car; perfectly preserved cars and locomotives; loved the roundhouse! So much to learn while having lots of fun. My grandson summed it up with"It was amazing!"

We went here with our two year old daughter. As someone who does not have any special interest in trains I found it fairly enjoyable and was overall pleased given that it is not exceedingly expensive. Everyone who works there was very nice, and there's...More

A lot of history here but it needs to improve exhibits. Could improve and add signage to its displays. They have some model train layouts that need immediate attention and be up and running. Entrance fee is only $10 so that's a plus.

I loved the active round table and the executive car. Not sure why the negative reviews. If you are in the. Middle of train lovers I think you will enjoy it.

I've been to other RR museums that were much better---- Duluth GA for one. The Savannah Museum had very few cars that you could go into unless you were on a tour. Most of the engines were either chained off or not accessible.

Go to read the history of the railway system in Georgia, and see the vintage trains. there is a short tour on a steam train we missed by an hour, but it looked like fun.
