We really love this place. Cool to look at all the old trains and turntable/shed. You can go on a very short steam train ride (a few feet down tracks and back) and look at the old buildings. We bought the see 3 tickets here...More
Enjoyed this outing. Get up close to, and even board some big train engines. Lots of history re: the rail yard, tools that were used, folks who worked there. They were even restoring a car while we were there. Good visit
My husband and I visited this museum during our first trip to Savannah. It was interesting to learn about the history of railroads in Savannah, but we would not return for another visit.

Next door to the Savannah Visitor's Center, and fascinating! Ride an old passenger train, see cars used by the "Big Wigs" of the railroad, see a machine shop used to restore trains of old.
