It's important to know that Steve Ellis is an 8th Generation Savannahian. Consequently his tours are peppered with personal insights and research that he's done over many years. We had a wonderful 2-hour strolling visit with Savannah and Steve, which added depth to the hop on off bus we'd done the day before. Steve is easy to be with and... More

On a school trip with 55 teenagers, we booked a walking tour through the gorgeous city of Savannah. The guide was responsive and lively. A lot of details about the Civil War. The tour lasts 1h30 and goes through most of the 24 squares that compose the City. A very nice time to take advantage of the weather, the buildings... More

I have been to Savannah at least six times and have probably done 3 or 4 different types of tours, and Steve's historical haunted tour was the best one by far. First, he is a 4th generation resident of Savannah, and his great-grandfather planted many of the live oaks you see around the squares, so this is a man not... More

Steve was awesome. He is so knowledgeable and makes the tour so interesting and fun. I highly recommend booking a tour with him. We just went one of his historic tours and his knowledge of the history and the area is incredible.. I would love to go on all his tours eventually.

Steve Ellis is amazing…a walking encyclopedia of Savannah history and culture. He is a lifelong Savannahan who is passionate about his city. We only had a day and a half in Savannah and wanted to get a fast overview of the city and its history…Check! You will get far more than your money’s worth from Steve-both in time and quality.... We had never been to Savannah, but after one 2hour and fifteen minute walking tour with Steve, we felt as though we had truly arrived. Steve is part of the fabric of this city, and not only does he know all there is to know about it, but he knows just how to deliver it to a new arrival. Most... More

If you do any tour in Savannah do it with this guy! My wife and I did a walking tour with Steve...his knowledge of the history of Savannah is incredible! He grew up here as did his ancestors so he really knew his stuff. He also directed us to some great restaurants for the balance of our trip. We'll definitely... More

I fell in love with Savannah in the early 1980s when I lived in Orlando. I made an annual Spring trek till I moved to Houston in th 1990s. The delightful and incredibly informative tour with Steve today made me fall in love with this charming city all over again!

This was our first night in Savannah, and we decided the best way to see things in the city was to get a little tour with someone who knew the city well. Our guide is a fourth-generation Savannah native, and truly loved his city. You could hear the pride in his voice as he spoke of the colorful history. This... More
