Bought a really creative crab wall display it was a mosaic constructed from broken dinner plates. I'm not sure about the light house since I've been in enough already.

Savannah has a free transportation system for visitors (and locals) called DOT. The buses are purple and stop right outside the Visitor Center. They don't make a lot of stops, but enough that you can get around the historic area and the river front. The free light rail along the riverfront wasn't working due to mechanical problems when we were... More

This was our first stop on our visit to Savannah. It was confusing because there appears to be two visitor centers and in our research for the trip we were not able to determine which one to go to. We chose this location. The gentleman who spoke to us was not especially helpful, neglected to point out that there was... More

If you need information about Savannah or the surrounding area, this is a stop you need to make. The staff is very helpful. The restrooms are clean. There is parking but it's a little pricey at 20 bucks.

I visited a smaller center at Ellis Square and the staff there were very helpful. There were maps and brochure available and a clean restroom. Please note, Savannah offers a free CAT trolley bus that goes all around the city and takes about a half hour to complete the circuit. Stops are well marked and the buses leave every twenty... More

Nice center. Lots of local info and a nice gift shop. We picked up the trolley there. Parking is free when you buy a trolley ticket.

On the edge of the historic district, the Visitors' Center has inexpensive parking, a wealth of information and allows RVs to overnight. On the downside the parking area could be better maintained and it's over run with idling tour buses and motor coaches.

We went into visitors center for advice for our day and we were thrilled to get such great suggestions. Thank you. Because of the advisors, we made the most of our day. Bathrooms were also clean and plentiful.

The Visitors Center has a wealth of information for getting around Savannah as well as information for Georgia. Plenty of nice, clean restrooms.
