Devoted to the art of today, the contemporary Jepson Center links Telfair’s future with its past, unifying the museum’s three distinct sites. The building, designed by Moshe Safdie and opened to the public in 2006, features over 7,500 square feet of gallery space for major traveling exhibitions of contemporary art and installations of works from the permanent collection. Educational programming takes place in the 220-seat auditorium, community gallery, education studios, and ArtZeum—a unique, 3,500-square foot interactive gallery for children and families.

Thanks for your comments. We think all 3 Telfair Museums sites are great rainy day places to visit...and great to see on sunny days too!

We really enjoyed the galleries and interactive play areas. We we disappointed that we're forced to pay 20 bucks per person and bundled into having to see all 3 centers. Telfair Museum, Academy and Owens House. It should be cheaper to see just the one....More

One ticket got us into the Owens-Thomas House, the Telfair Museum, and the Jepson Center. All were well worth the price. There were several galleries to walk through with a large variety of art styles and mediums represented. I especially liked the Wegman exhibit. He...More

This is a modern looking museum. The original Bird Lady is here and worth it to see the original. If you buy tickets, the price also includes the Owens-Thomas House and Telfair Academy so it is worth it.

As Brits we were not familiar with much of the work on display and it was great to be introduced to some new artists. Good diverse range of contemporary work. Not an overwhelming amount and grouped in a helpful selection of galleries.

Yes, you have to pay a fee to get in, but that fee gets you to the Telfair house/museum- great art collection from little known artists as well as the Jepson Center which specialized in (mostly) contemporary art.

Great museums in Telfair square in Savannah Georgia and a great place to take a rest form the summer heat and humidity. Classic, modern, and an interesting 1819 mansion with guided tours. Be sure to take the guided tours of all three museums.
