We cruised for a week on the Empress and were wowed by the food, the boat, but most of all the entertainers. The weather for November was better than we had hoped and the scenery along the Columbia River Gorge was amazing. Must be where the word gorgeous originated. The captain lived locally as did the riverlorian. Narrations and lectures... More

Attended a wedding aboard. Really fun different venue. Dinner was gourmet, fresh Columbia steelhead, served timely so we could enjoy all the sights along the river. Captain was entertaining and great character.

Nice to see the Columbia River from a different perspective. Food and alcohol is served on board. One way trip is plenty.

So much fun on this tour, while catching up with old friends - for us newbies to the area and for people from the area. A fun way to see the gorge, I'm only sorry we didn't take more photos but we were too busy catching up and enjoying the entertainment, view and all.

First, you might be a little confused trying to find this tour online. You have to go to the Portland Spirit Cruises website (sorry, TA doesn't let me link) and click on COLUMBIA GORGE CRUISES. But this cruise does NOT originate in Portland...you embark at the landing in Cascade Locks, about 30 miles east of Portland. Once you get there,... More

Took the Easter Day Brunch Cruise. The food was good. There were 13 of us and they did not have a problem with the service time and the waiters were great. The view was absolutely breathtaking. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

Great trip all around with great food and service. Over priced and did not appreciate having an automatic tip (isn't a tip a personal matter for good service? Or has that changed?) from your credit card. The service was great and we would have left more than the required tip of $16.50 a day. The entertainment was outstanding.

We went with friends and enjoyed the brunch excursion. They were very accommodating about my gluten sensitivity. Passengers were encouraged to move about the boat once the brunch was finished. More for adults.

Fun for the whole family, a group activity or just a couples adventure This was one of our most memorable group trips last year. 110 people took the Sunday Brunch Sternwheeler tour up and down the Columbia. The food was great, the river was beautiful and the experience was a once in a lifetime for some. If you are thinking... More

Very nice dinner cruise. They only have one per week this time of year and the cruise just fell into place. My kids, their spouses and my friend from Hood River came along and it was lovely. Great choice of menu items and sweet staff. The captain REALLY looked the part, an ole Salt, and so knowledgeable of the "Lewis... More
