A 5-acre park in the heart of downtown Vancouver, Esther Short is the oldest public square in the state of Washington. Today the park contains a clock tower, gazebo, large picnic shelter/stage, playground, rose garden, walking paths and seasonal water feature. You will find the Vancouver Farmer's Market here on weekends mid-March through October.

It's a very nice park, but the city lets all the homeless people hang out down there so there are usually unsavory people about and the benches can be pretty gross.

Esther Short Park is a lovely park. The summer free concert series is always a lot of fun as is the weekend farmers market. We also enjoy the annual Hawaiian festival. Great park to visit.
