Hubby & I have been here many times. Nice I work nearby and he can come by and pick me up on my lunch hour break and take a peaceful moment out to relax in our crazy hectic world. This park is absolutely amazing! There's an incredible car museum on one side, an outdoor ice rink for winter fun, a... More

Larz is open all year round.... with a hockey rink, baseball diamonds, a museum, and perfect sledding/running hills. The view of Boston is unbeatable, and in the summer, there are areas to BBQ.

Larz Anderson is a wonderful must-visit park. It almost feels like a secret because if you go there on a weeknight to watch a sunset you might be the only person there. It's a great place to wander, play frisbee or toss a baseball, sit and read with a view of the skyline, fly a kite, etc. Drive to the... More

The online reservation process to reserve BBQ sites in this park is horrible, and to reserve a site (which can accommodate only up to 8 individuals) is $80 for half a day. $80 for access to a picnic table, trash can, and charcoal grill for one half of one day, and that's only IF you can get the website to... Larz Anderson Park is a wonderful place to roam and play, right on the edge of Brookline and JP. The high hills are great for sledding, kite flying, or watching July 4th fireworks. The small fenced playground is ideal for the 8 and under set. There is a pavilion for picnics and parties (needs to be secured with a permit... More

Beware! Don't try and sit at the picnic tables without a permit. But if you want a nice spot by a small lake with peace and quiet, come to Larz Anderson park. Head towards the little rotunda. And it is dog-friendly which is nice.

Very well maintained outdoor ice skating rink with a separate smaller rink for younger kids and people learning to skate. Always fun!

go up to the top of the hill, and, on a clear bright fall day, you can almost reach out and touch the islands in boston harbor over 6 miles away. in winter, you can toboggan down the steep hill---one of the best rides of your life, and for free !-- or you can have an outdoor skate at the... More
