We have been on many interpretive tours in the US and overseas; this is one of the best, Fredericksburg is just the right size in order to get a lot of information in a short time. So much US history in this town it is...More
My family and I visited Fredericksburg while on vacation in Virginia and happened upon this tour just as it was getting ready to leave. They were very accommodating and got us on the tour bus and allowed us to pay after the tour to keep...More

Thanks. We're glad you found us! You're right; there is so much history in Fredericksburg.
This is a great way to start your visit. The trolley takes you up and down the streets showing you the sites. You can come back and visit. Tells you interesting facts throughout the town. Worth the ride

Thank you for taking the tour. Yes, we do try to give a thorough overview of the local attractions and other points of interest that we encourage people to explore.
The trolley looks like the old fashioned trolleys of yesteryear, since the day was very nice, the windows were open -- good for taking pictures! Our driver/tour guide never rushed, would pull over to give a better view. Of course the traffic in Fredericksburg is...More
Very good tour with friendly, knowledgeable tour guide. Of course she has a wealth of history in Fredericksburg to draw from. Good length of time, but certainly enough history to go on for much longer.
Our guide was most pleasant and even though it was very hot the ride was comfortable. I love Fredericksburg for the civil war history. This tour was more about the homes and the people that lived in or near the city. I would have enjoyed...More

The Trolley Tour is an overview of attractions available for you to pursue as you choose. They range from pre-Revolutionary history places through the Civil War battle grounds and cemetery into more modern history such as trains, city growth. Some places are 'across the river' and some places are the river itself for you to return to enjoy. The downtown history attractions have period costumed employees waving at you from their establishment. Great overview of venues you may want to explore later as well as learning history in a very easy way. Plenty of shopping and dining available pre or post Trolley. Check the Visitor's Center first, is my suggestion.
