Our guide, Chase, was also training for the Yukon Quest. He was so fun to chat with on our ride and answered all of our questions about dog sledding. The dogs were awesome and the route was so gorgeous in the snow.

I was in Fairbanks two weeks ago and we began all of our daily adventures well before the "official" sunrise at 11:00am ish, including doing a 10:00am tour. . . At 9:15am it was still quite dark out, but by 10:00am, it was getting light enough to readily see. Depending upon your activity, the sun rising over the horizon may be obscured by trees, but you'll be treated to a colorful sky if clouds permit. Have a wonderful trip!

Our Summer Tukaway Kennel Tour and cart ride is offered every evening (when it’s cooler for dogs) at 7:00 pm. It lasts about 1.5 hours and provides a wealth of information and fun facts about a life with sled dogs; you get to pet and interact with the sled dogs (AND Puppies- in summer we usually have a litter to cuddle). The tour culminates with a short ride on a 6-place ATV pulled by the sled dog team. You can even help our guide harness and hitch the team to the sled if you want, or just take great photos of the process. See more pics and info in our website and Facebook.
