The ice museum was small but the ice sculpture inside was amazing, There are rounds for the museum tour, I believed the last one is at 7 pm. The museum is near the parking area but you'll need to get your ticket at the 'Activities...More

Tour with Alaskan Wildlife Guide. They have extra coats to put on if needed. Sculptures with soft lighting behind them makes for an amazing picture. Guide was friendly and informative. I would recommend this museum.

I had an amazing time here! A “must do” while you are visiting Fairbanks! I went with a tour company out of Fairbanks Alaska Borealis and it included Chena Hot Springs and aurora viewing. I had an awesome night even though it snowed the whole...More

Breath taking sculptures! Liam the guide was pretty cool too with his "punny" jokes. Everyone loved it!

Ice museum located about an hour away from Fairbanks at Chena Hot Springs. It was pretty good overall. Be advised: you can only go into the museum with the tour which is $15.

I was worried that maybe it would be too cheesy, but I thought it was pretty cool. It's worth seeing if you're already up at Chena Hot Springs -- but I don't think it's worth driving an hour each way from Fairbanks only for the...More

The ice carvings, in the museum are beautiful but the building needs some TLC...the carpets are dirty and worn. They are lifting up at the seams making for dangerous tripping conditions. The fur seat covers are tattered and scruffy looking. The tour and Appleton drink...More

This was certainly one of the highlights of our recent visit to Alaska! Amazing place and amazing appletini's! Such a unique place and then a follow up to splash in the hot springs! Very nice indeed! Well worth the time and money!

Absolutely go to the Hot Springs on your own. I love renting a car and exploring the area on my own. Purchase tickets for the Hot springs and/or the Ice Museum in the gift shop at the time you visit. It is a great visit.

Definitely a bathing suit for the hot springs, but a coat for the museum. It is cold in the ice museum. As I recall, they do have heavy jackets that you can wear. We went in February so had warm coats and gloves... More

They provide you with winter jackets at the aurora ice museum, so there is no need to bring a parka if you are traveling in june. I would say to be sure to bring a swim suit to the hot springs, and to wear comfortable... More
