This was a pleasant evening despite the fact that nature did not cooperate (at all!) The room was crowded as I had been warned, but there were 2 levels for viewing & it was easy to look outside & see whether the lights were out or not, and easy to go in & out. The videos that they showed were... More

Thank you for the nice review even thought you did not see the lights. About the only bad reviews we get are usually from people who did not see the lights. Out of their disappointment of not seeing the lights, they want to try and think of something bad to say about the tour, usually not very well founded. I... More

I would recommend this tour wholeheartedly. First of all, the price is affordable. It was $75. They will pick you up in your hotel and bring you back. Emmet will chat with you and is friendly. He's not too chatty, so it's perfect. Then they bring you to a viewing lodge which is also perfect because when it gets too... More

Thank you for your review and letting us know about the rudeness of this employee. This employee was only a temporary hire during our very busy season. She is actually from Japan and not a local person working regularly for at the lodge. Our season ended on the 1st of April and she has returned to Japan. She was hired... More

Great tour, Ben Boyd is the owner/guide he picks you up and tells stories all the way to his ranch 25 miles out of town. There you are presented with a warm and cosy ranch with hot drinks and restrooms to use until the lights show themselves. The ranch is in a unique spot where the weather is different to... More

This was a wonderful tour!! We had a group of 5 adults and two children (1.5 & 3.5 yrs old). We ended up adding an extra night/tour bc we weren’t lucky enough to see the lights the first night. We didn’t see them the second night either, but that is just how it goes and we understand that it is... More

Ben was the owner and also our guide. Drove us to a closeby cabin joining a huge crowd of chartered tourists. Felt like in a theater but not a cabin. Didn't see the light but that's noone 's fault. Ben offered a hoop dance to end the night. Appreciated his efforts!

Just to set the record straight, this tour is owned by a corporation. It is the only native owned and operated tour in Fairbanks. It's office manager and guides are Alaska natives who grew up in the rural villages of Alaska living a traditional lifestyle. They also, attended the University of Alaska Fairbanks learning about Alaska's history, cultures, and economy.... More

Mr. Ben Boyd collected us promptly at the hotel, as scheduled. He is a very knowledgeable and friendly individual who possesses a wealth of information about the history, culture and highlights of the area. My Northern Lights tour was a wonderful experience because the lights were intense that evening and because the location of the lodge was ideally situated for... More

We picked Alaska Northern Lights Tour because of its price and flexibility for cancellation. We booked two tours but had to cancel the aurora viewing tour 2 days before the scheduled time. But our city tour was great. It turned out only us attending the tour that day so we had a very informative private half-day. The guide was native... More

Thank you for the good review. We are the only company who has Alaska Native guides who have grown up in Alaska rural villages who can give you insight to living in rural Alaska. They have also attended college and learned about Alaska economy, that mixed with personal experience can give you a well rounded view of living in Alaska. More

I researched my Aurora Chase as well as possible, and I was extremely happy with my choice of Alaska Northern Lights Tours. Mr Ben Boyd was a stellar guide, whom picked us up at our hotel and drove us the 30 minutes to a ranch on Chena Hot Springs Road. He provided wonderful insight and interesting stories about the land... More

I booked the day of and had to pay cash upon pickup. Ben picked us up and he was very informative and gave us tons of info we didn't know prior. Thank you for the good review. We do not always leave the lodge at 2 AM. If there has been no Aurora or not very good Aurora all night and suddenly Aurora comes out right as we are leaving we will stay longer to give customers a chance to see it. This has actually happened two times this week, one... More

I've spent a few nights for this tour and had very good experience. Ben picked me up at the hotel and we went to a ranch about 25 minutes from the city.
