Do you really want to drive all the way to this muddy parking lot with a photogenic sign, just to be able to say that you have been north of the Yukon River and north of the Arctic Circle? Even knowing that if you continued...More

This is nothing more than a small parking area and a sign. All there really is to do is take a selfie with the sign and get back on the highway.

If you have a day, take a tour (Alaska Aurora Adventure) up to the Arctic Circle sign and see vistas and a part of Alaska only a few do.

The sign is nice, the specialness of driving to the Arctic Circle is rewarding. Lots of parking. We read about, but did not see anyone offering a certificate for being there. Fun nonetheless. A good memory and that is what life is about.

It was an interesting drive to get to the Arctic Circle, enjoyed the way the terrain changed the farther north we went.

Your phone probably won't work here, so It's actually nice to have a concrete indication of crossing the arctic circle. And it's better than the equator in Ecuador, where there are competing places for the true line of the equator!!

We drove up in the summer so the road was a little rough but not too bad. We stopped along the way for pictures but it took us 6 hours to get to the sign, (we stopped at Hot Spot Cafe for lunch), then we continued on to... More

It is definitely scenic but dangerous to drive in the summer so the winter must be frightful. Leave it to a professional who do not drive their own vehicles on that road. They rent from a limited supply since many firms will... More
