Lots to see, experience, and eat!
Jul. 2019
We had so much fun visiting this market. The food options were plentiful and delicious. We got to try many locally grown and made goodies. Our favorites from our visit were the raw honey and pottery. It was a great way to spend the day!

Great
Aug. 2019
I’ve been to many markets around the world, and this one, although small, excels. There’s fresh fruit, veg, flowers, baked goods, hand-made crafts and great original art of all descriptions sold by the actual artists and food stalls to boot. There’s also a mix of locals and tourists, young and old. Definitely worth a visit for food, momentos or gifts.

Great Market to Buy Local...Handmade Good’s, Local Eats & some fresh Produce!
Jul. 2018 • Friends
I love to go to “local” farm markets...This one was really cool & quaint! There were a lot of folks selling all of their homemade crafts...really “Made in Alaska”!! I was able to buy handmade coasters & placements from the lady that sowed them, jewelry from the gal that designed them & food from a local vendor...All Handmade in Alaska! I was also able to buy some souvenirs for family back home. PS don’t forget to eat...we each went to a different food vendor and came back to a central table to share our findings & share the food...a great way of tasting a little of everything! Enjoy :)

Tanana Valley Farmers Market, 2600 College Road, Fairbanks, Alaska.
Sep. 2018 • Couples
The Tanana Valley Farmers Market, located at 2600 College Road, here in Fairbanks, Alaska, is open two days a week. It is open on Wednesdays from 11AM until 4PM and on Saturdays from 9AM until 4PM. What's not-to-like about any Farmer's Market? My wife and I visited the market on a nice Wednesday afternoon. There are more things than fresh produce at the market. Clothing, Art for sale, food stands, and of course, a lot of very appetizing fresh-from-the-farm produce. We enjoyed it and hope you will too.

Perfect on a Saturday morning
Jul. 2018 • Friends
A great place to wander the markets on a Saturday morning, grab some veges and some lunch - and take in the weekly vibe for locals who visit to pick up their fresh local and organic supplies.

Very nice
Aug. 2018 • Family
We visited the Farmers Market on a Saturday morning in late August. The main area was full of vendors with additional stalls set up outside. Everything was very clean and well organized. There was a mix of produce, crafts, prepared food, etc... I did not see the typical flea market stuff that has taken over a lot of markets. We purchased local honey, fresh produce and baked goods. There is a lady with a bakery stall (Honey Bakery) which I would highly recommend.

Brief stay

We have been anticipating the farmers market in Fairbanks with excitement. We are gardeners, and looked forward to seeing what's growing. And, I'm a bread Baker...so...but, we stopped at the first tent, bought yummy Russian dill pickles, a fresh tomato, and beautiful cucumbers. As my husband returned them to the trucks cooler, I was approached by a man who looked at my small dog and told me dogs are not allowed. He was kind and apologetic....then he suggested maybe I could leave her in the car awhile. I said, no, I'll just leave. So much for that. We are RVers and have taken our small dog to many Farmers markets. What a bummer! So, my review is that I can't review much, but I can comment that this is nuts. It's not a restaurant. It's outdoors. This was a major disappointment in our 4,000 mile plus visit to Alaska. One star. Little else to say about it.

Excellent on a Saturday
Jul. 2017 • Friends
We visited on a sunny Saturday in late July and I would HIGHLY recommend it. I can't think of a better way to get an idea for the local flavors and culture than to stroll through a farmers market. Coming from California, we were very impressed at the variety of fresh fruits/veggies, homemade pickles/jams/fermented goodies, coffee and cakes, and handmade crafts that we found here. We could have spent hours and hours wandering back and forth, up and down the aisles, but were on a schedule and had to limit ourselves. There were also plenty of lunch options (Thai noodles, Mexican food, sausages, etc) that all looked and smelled delicious. We stocked our cooler for our long road trip with fresh greens, gorgeous cherry tomatoes, snap peas, and zucchini. We also treated ourselves to some Jo's Cupcakes, which were wonderful and we especially appreciated that she had so many gluten free options - get the sourdough cupcakes! If you are in Fairbanks on a Saturday in the summer time, you would be missing out if you didn't spend a little time enjoying this lovely farmers market.

Small
Aug. 2017
Compared with the Anchorage Farms Market and the annual Fairbanks State Fair (4-13 August in 2017), this is a place one can forget about. Pretty small with few choices of food. The vegetables are fresh but not as impressive as advertised. The State Fair is a place one do not want to miss on the other hand especially for kids. Lots of rabbits, horses, sheep etc with games and plenty of food choices.

More of a crafts market than a farmer's market
Jun. 2017
This market had a wide variety of local crafts, from woodworking, to soaps, lots of jewelry. There were food stand offering prepared foods from many cultures. Varied street musicians, too.
