Opened in 1883, the Brooklyn Bridge provides passage between Brooklyn and Manhattan for motorists, trains, bicycles and pedestrians. One of the primary symbols of New York City, it is a marvel of design and provides spectacular views of the city's skyline.

The bridge itself is magnificent! Make sure to stop and read the plaques near each tower describing the construction. The views from the bridge are one of a kind. The only downside is the walkway isn't big enough, especially with a bunch of bikes flying...More

I could walk over the the spectacular Brooklyn Bridge ever day and never tire of it. The bridge is stunning in its brown/ gold colour with weather wooden walkway. Walking back toward Manhattan you get the most wonderful view of the skyline.

I think it took us about 45 mins to stroll across the bridge - walking slowly with stops to read info/graffiti & admire the view. We took the quick 1-stop ferry hop from Pier 11 on the Manhattan side over to the Brooklyn... More
