The Brooklyn Botanical Garden has a wide variety of exotic plants and flowers from different parts of the world! The staff is quite friendly and knowledgeable. There are activities for everyone in the family. It is easily accessible by mass transit numbers 2, 4 and 5 trains to Eastern Parkway Station. Also the B44 bus stops in front of the... More

So beautiful and special -- a wonderful place to get away from it all and feel like you've had a day trip somewhere outside of the city. I love that it's next to the museum, too, which makes for one of the best day you can have in NYC. The dining choices just got better, too, so it's a good... More

The bbg is a fabulous place even for just one hour. It is so well maintained. The best time to visit is of course in the spring and fall, but in the summer and winter as well you do have plants and exhibits to see. The gift shop has such wonderful novelty items. They have plants for sale as well.... More

We've been members of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden for years. It's an extraordinary spot, we love the Japanese garden, the herb garden, the Shakespeare garden, and the whole place. Could not recommend it more highly.

There is something going on at the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens all year round. We find that it's so easy to just drive over any time we have a few hours to enjoy with no family or life in general getting in our way. No matter when you go, something is in bloom or just take a tour of an area... More

The Brooklyn Botanical Garden is a gem. It's a great place to experience nature's beauty in the form of trees, plants, and birds. There are a few wonderful sculptures, too. It's great for photography. It can get crowded at times, but it's sufficiently large so that you can find less crowded areas. It has a good café/restaurant and gift shop.... More

This is a very nice botanical garden, well kept together in an area that allows you too see a lot in a short time. The entrance fee of 15 USD was slightly high and stopped me from giving the highest score.

I was blown away by the incredible beauty of the gardens. They were so well maintained and there was such a large variety of threes, flowers, architectural elements, and water features that there was something to see around every corner. From quiet hidden alcoves to large lawns and tree covered walkways, there is simply no bad place in the incredible... More

We went in mid May. We were late for spring blooms like cherry trees and daffodils and early for annuals. The staff was busy planting a lot of the annual beds. The covered displays were a bit of a disappointment. Educational, but I guess I wanted some "wow". Good grassy, open spaces to sit and rest. Lots of school children... More
