Situated on 14 acres by the sea in Coney Island, the Aquarium is home to over 8,000 animals. The Aquarium provides an enjoyable experience for the whole family. See friendly walruses, amazing sharks, playful sea otters and so much more.

Easy to get to from the subway. Take the F or Q train to the W 8th street exit. The Aquarium is a block away. Unfortunately, the NY Aquarium was hit hard by Hurricane Sandy years ago. They still have not fully recovered. The Aquarium...More

I can't believe that a first class city has an aquarium like this. It's small, crowded on a weekday, and dirty. The "petting tank," had one small horseshoe crab and a sea urchin. They are showing a 12-minute 4-D movie with "Ice Age" characters which...More

When it was being built, there was much expectation. Save your money and go somewhere else. Nothing has changed.

It was way to small. We spend a couple hundred dollars to get a Uber over to the aquarium. And we took maybe 20 minutes max to view everything. Smallest aquarium I have ever been to. It did look like they were building a new...More

NY Aquarium is small compared to others I have been to, but if you are in the area, stop on by. They are currently remodeling to add new attractions, so that's a plus. Lots of school kids from field trips so it may be better...More

It is not open fully open yet. Once it opens this place will be amazing, right now very small and not much to see. I can't wait till next year to go back and see when it is fully operational.

This is a good place to visit during the day, but I wouldn't stay longer than 1-2 hr ( especially not past sundown). The area around is rather iffy for safety,

Always best to go to the website to see if there have been any changes to the pricing. But also remember the parking fee.
