Still The Same After So Many Years

I have gone to the NY Aquarium since I was a kid, and it has not changed much in the last 20 plus years. I just went this week of April 14th, 2015, as part of my work and there... read more

I have gone to the NY Aquarium since I was a kid, and it has not changed much in the last 20 plus years. I just went this week of April 14th, 2015, as part of my work and there was honestly much to see. We were not expecting it, but there happened to be a sea lion show that... More

The aquarium is very small and was under reconstruction. Less than 1hour to do everything. Maybe the show is interesting but I didn't see it. The price was about 11 dollars. Not a good deal !

Nice stop if you are a member of the zoo and can get in for free AND you're making the Aquarium a part of a day at Coney Island, otherwise it's not quite ready for prime time yet and I'd wait till 2017 and the new section is ready.

It's been a while, but I thought I'd give my two cents worth regarding this aquarium. I came down from Montreal to visit my brother and met up with my mom who was visiting from western Canada. My mom and I had the day to ourselves and came here. For what it is, or was when I was here, it's... More

We came with a printed 20% discount coupon that wasn't honored because half of the aquarium is under reconstruction and paid a full price. Half of the exhibits were closed for construction and the other dirty. We went to look at the 4D movie, and wanted to come back to use the rest rooms with a 2-years old child. Guess... More

Unfortunately, there is only a handful of tanks inside and sea otters, walrus and penguins outside. The outside animals were bare. Parking was 13$ and tickets were 11.95. Not worth it at all. Hopefully they can get back up and running after sandy.

There is not much to see here right now. There is a seal show then the fish tanks, two walruses and otters. That's it. The 4D was good but it really not worth it they are under construction. Staff is freindly and helpful the guests are rude and need to learn that it is not a large playground and they... More

I felt desapointed because almost half of the Aquarium was closed for reconstruction and it was hard to see those animals in such a small space... I liked when they were feeded and xome kids around were really excited/. May be it is just a personal impression... I reaaly don't like to see animals out of their own habbitat..

We are now aware that the NY Aquarium was badly damaged during the Sandy storm back in 2011 and so this is why so much renovation is being done to the site. Once this is completed I'm sure it will be a far better place to visit than what it currently is. Not many animals are there. There are a... More
