This Brooklyn Main Branch Library and the Manhattan Fifth Ave. Main Branch Library, doesn't get any better, except maybe the Alexandria Library that was burned down way back when. One can order any book at the front desk, they have events, activities, job fairs, ReServe job preparations and offerings for seniors, and much more. The building is huge, lots of... More

Nice building and library. If you have time to roam around, why not check it out? Especially if you are checking out Prospect Park, Brooklyn Museum and Botanic Garden. Just nearby

Twenty years ago, I use to go to this library and walk wall to wall looking for books to read. This library amazed me with the amount of books it possessed. However, today we don't really read books anymore. While I was surprise to see how empty it was this was the first time that I realized how beautiful the... More

The frontal view says it all. This place has so much to offer, I frequent it regularly! Tons of free really awesome educational programs, tours, and learning opportunities! The banana bread at the cafe is an awesome little treat while you're there! :)

I love libraries. I love the smell of old books. I Spent many an afternoon doing research and papers for my high school history class way back in the 1970's :). A beautiful old library filled with a multitude of books, artwork and exhibits.. The inside is a sight to behold but the architecture on the outside is also very... More

Thankful for these graceful old libraries in the U.S. I enjoyed a visit to the library on Prospect Park on a cold, snowy day in Brooklyn.

Who thought a public library could be so interesting. The front doors and architecture alone are a must see plus all that it has to offer about Brooklyn and NYC. Not just books.
