This bridge is really awesome and has the highest toll of any bridge I know if. I try only to go from staten island to brooklyn so there is no toll at this time . Other then Han a few good restaurants I really do not go to Staten Island but pass through on the way to New Jersey. I... More

Can't wait for them to finish construction on the upper level of the bridge, They have been fixing this bridge for more than 20 years.

Arrived from the Staten Island direction and crossed into Brooklyn in the early evening. The view of the harbor and Manhattan was spectacular. The drive along the "BQE" to west Brooklyn was an easy one with not much traffic for our arrival at the Box House Hotel.

So, why does trip advisor ask me for a review of a bridge? Its got a lot of cars. You can drive from one side to the other. You can look out the window (if youre not the driver!) and can see manhattan. Yay. A bridge. You drove across, good job! Seriously if you come to NYC and think bridges... More

Whichever side of the bridge your on, Staten Island or Brooklyn, the view is spectacular day or night. I was along Shore Road in Brooklyn. You can walk or bike along there and see the bridge in front of you. You can cross the bridge into SI for a hefty toll, but SI is worth visiting too. Much to see... More

Passed over this bridge numerous times from Staten island to Brooklyn. Although the toll has gone up over the years, this structure has so much history from the building of the bridge to the every day use. The Belt Parkway runs underneath the Brooklyn side. Lots of traffic during rush hours, starting point for the NYC Marathon and support to... More

Chose to go to Brooklyn via the Narrows rather than the Holland Tunnel and Manhattan Bridge to see the New York City skyline at night. It was worth going out of the way.

This is our big boy, and it's a beautiful bridge, but it is a utilitarian bridge, not a tourist attraction. It's the last great work of Robert Moses, and consequently there isn't even a pedestrian walk way on the bridge, which is a shame, as the views are spectacular. that's why I say it's remote, and only very good not... An interesting way to see the bridge up close and personal is from the top deck of the Queen Mary 2 as she slides underneath . The ship's iconic red funnel is less than 20 feet from scraping the undersides of the bridge. I believe that on one occasion a crew member was close enough to touch the bridge with... More
