Cindy was a wonderful tour guide. She was informative and really was able to give a definitive history of the Essex Street Market and to an extent, the Lower East Side. In addition, the food component hit the mark as well. Will definitely be looking to take a couple more tours from Turnstile Tours soon.

My friend Kathy and I took a tour of The Brooklyn Navy Yard with Doug. It was really wonderful. Fascinating, informative and really fun. Doug is lovely and incredibly knowledgeable. Turnstile was so accommodating as well because my friend and I were signed up for a Bicycle Tour and they happily changed us to a bus tour when Kathy hurt... More

On a cold and windy saturday in March I took the 'Past, Present and Future tour' on the Brooklyn Navy Yard. I enjoyed it very much. The very knowledgable and enthousiast guide told a lot of interesting stories. You get a good overview of the long history of the Navy Yard and all the present activities. There's a lot going... We did a few tours with Turnstile Tours. Their tours are well organised. The guides knowledgable and good value for money. If travelling to New York you should check them out.

My book club read the book Brooklyn so we went to visit the Brooklyn Navy Yard as a tie in... Our Tour Guide Andrew was terrific and sooo knowledgable... we could not stump him with a question... We learned all about the history of the yard and the current use of the area... we were on a shuttle for different... More

Every minute of this tour was fascinating. We covered History, Art, Women's Work Issues, Real Estate, New Business opportunities, Environment, Lots of Food, Drink , Manufacturing, the list is absolutely endless. All the while moving around and looking at spectacular visuals. The best trip I have had anywhere in this world.

I went on a tour of the Essex Street Market that was led by Cindy. She's an excellent guide, full of information and passion about the market, the vendors, and the history of the Lower East Side. We had many food samples during the tour, all of which were delicious.

Andrew and his colleagues were well informed about the history and current events and future plans in Prospect Park, accompanied by good photographs and illustrations. This was a 2 hour moderate walking tour and it was very enjoyable.

Took Turnstile Tours' wonderful new tour of Prospect Park, being given in celebration of the park's 150th anniversary. I highly recommend this tour! It was very informative, great old photos, and history of the park. Of course, having the great venue of Prospect Park doesn't hurt either. I give tours as a volunteer at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, therefore, I'm... More
