Beautiful building

I did not go in and only took photos of the building from a nearby park. It's easy on the eye with its beautiful architecture and design.

Brooklyn used to be a city, so there is a complete downtown district that mirrors neighboring Manhattan (the "City"), complete with city hall (now borough hall), courts, government buildings and parks. It's what makes Brooklyn so different from Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island. Brooklyn incorporated into NYC after the Brooklyn Bridge opened in the 1890's

Such an iconic building in the heart of downtown Brooklyn. In one direction is the busy Fulton Mall area, head in a different direction to walk over the Brooklyn Bridge to Manhattan, head in a different direction to walk along the promenade in historical brownstone Brooklyn. On nice days there are chairs and tables right out in front of the... More

I'm not really sure who this building is attracting. It does have some historic value and it is an interesting building to look at. I grew up in the neighborhood and never thought of it as an "attraction". The Brooklyn Heights area is certainly an attraction with its brownstones, churches, stores, bars and scenic views of Manhattan but Borough Hall,... More

Marty Lefkowitz had sworn over the years to put Brooklyn on the map. And we all laughed. Well, Brooklyn is on the map. When he was the Borough President, he had all different shows outside of his home. People were able to get free flu shots right outside his impressive home and The Nets were able to showcase their uniforms.... More

Just stay away from this very busy area during workdays. The best time to check the hood is on a Saturday for instance. (beautiful architecture on side streets lined up with brownstones) And the stores/restaurants around there are opened.
