No matter what the weather is the Green-Wood cemetery looks absolutely amazing, wether it's winter or summer, overcast, rain, day or night, no matter. This place really brings you back to old Victorian era and it's splendor, even in death.

We've been here four or five times and it has never disappointed. It's huge. I recommend taking a tour, at least for your first visit.

The cemetery has a lot insde the gates
The official website doesn't say anything about picnics being allowed or not allowed, but I have read reviews from people who WERE allowed to picnic and from people who WERE NOT allowed to picnic. Anyone have any recent picnicking experiences?

I know that during the Memorial Day Concert, people are picnicking everywhere and when my son had a field trip there, they ate their lunches on the grass. Hope that helps.
