Great alternative hike that will give you scenery similar to The Wave.
We took an awesome hike on the Beehive trail, which is located half a mile from the visitor center at Glen Canyon Dam. You take a right out of the parking lot and then the first left is where the parking for the trail is located. The park ranger suggested doing this hike as it was an alternative to The Wave since that is so limited. It was a beautiful 2 mile round-trip hike. Make sure you take the side trail to the scenic lookout as well. Stunning views from the top! This was one of our favorite hikes while staying in Page.

Do all day kayak from Dam to Harpers
We. Rented kayaks and boat service back hauls up to a safe distance below Glen Canyon dam. You then have whole day to float back to Harper’s ferry. Can stop whenever you want and when you get to Harper’s ferry just leave rented gear by side of lot. Got to see Horseshie bend from bottom and next day went to top. We’re able to get a picture of us from someone who was on top. Very cool!!

Spend a few days in area a lot to see
Spend a couple days and take in the whole place. Some of the areas above the dam are quiet and you are all alone. Below the dam is absolutely amazing Do some kayaking from Harper Ferry with a vendor to back haul you to below dam

The staff member at the entrance was nice and gave a brief, but detailed, explanation of where to park, hike time in and out, etc…

Ample parking.

The canyon is breathtaking, very beautiful.

There are sights you want to behold. But there are so many places that want to skim money off you, it borders on ridiculousness.

A must do in the area, great addition if you are doing a Lower Antelope tour. Fantastic views and rock hiking. The path is marked by rocks, quite impressive. An easy dirt road and park at the campground. Starts on the left, look for markers.

There’s no one here and she wanted to charge us 30 bucks. We had an old card that expired so she was nice enough to change it out and give it to us military. We will be able to use it in the future. I wondered why I would pay 30 bucks to drive through someplace in the middle of winter and just take a few pictures, so I am thankful she gave us the card for free.
