Colorado River Discovery offers the most fantastic one day rafting trips anywhere on the mighty Colorado River. We provide half-day and full day tours that are perfect for the entire family (kids aged 4 and up). Departing from the scenic town of Page, Arizona, your trip will begin with an exciting and exclusive ride down the two-mile long Glen Canyon Dam access tunnel. At river level, with the dam soaring 700 feet above you, you will board a comfortable pontoon raft for your journey downstream. While on the River, you will experience one of the most dramatic stretches of river in the western United States. Your experienced guide will tell the story of the area’s soaring sandstone cliffs, crystal blue-green waters, abundant wildlife, exploration by Major John Wesley Powell and others, and the river's modern role in the Southwest’s water and power delivery system.A stop to view an impressive set of ancient petroglyphs will offer a you chance to stretch your legs and enjoy your lunch while bearing witness to the area’s former inhabitance by ancient native cultures. If you choose, you may also refresh yourself by wading in the cold, clear river. Come and visit the river that we love... You'll be inspired!

We all enjoyed the raft trip! It was very hot but the breeze down the river and spray made it tolerable. I would recommend this trip. In the heat, two hours is long enough though.

To see the Colorado River and the canyon from the perspective of the water is awesome. This trip truly is 'smooth' water, and the guides are awesome. The shop where they load you and the people there are super nice. Note that there are some...More

We waited too long to book the AM half day trip. When i tried to get the details of the differences, it was a bit vague. In fact, the departure and the return time seemed so similar, yet the staff provided different explanations as to...More

Rafting on the Colorado was a blast. Our guide, Nick, from Mississippi, was entertaining and there was rarely a dull moment on the raft, though we were given quiet as well to check out the beautiful canyon.

My AirBnB host Kris recommended that we spend the afternoon rafting down the Colorado river with the CRD crew. We were not disappointed. Our guide, Nick, gave us lots of great information while we enjoyed the incredibly beautiful canyon. He was engaging and entertaining.

Upon arriving at the meeting/check-in location for CRD, as a previous reviewer said, it appeared to be chaotic but we learned it was actually a controlled chaos...they really do know what they are doing. When the buses arrived we had some instructions from one of...More

Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. The raft holds around 22 people and ours only contained 13, so we had plenty of room to move about. You can easily take cameras and phones--they even give you plastic bags. However, coming back upstream we got...More

We were there on May 8th and took the morning 1/2 day trip. The weather was decent, cooler in the early morning as the sun doesn't get in much down by the river, but as the time went by it warmed up. I think it was a brisk... More
