Colorado River Discovery offers the most fantastic one day rafting trips...

Colorado River Discovery offers the most fantastic one day rafting trips anywhere on the mighty Colorado River. We provide half-day and full day tours that are perfect for the entire family (kids aged 4 and up). Departing from the scenic town of Page, Arizona, your trip will begin with an exciting and exclusive ride down the two-mile long Glen Canyon Dam access tunnel. At river level, with the dam soaring 700 feet above you, you will board a comfortable pontoon raft for your journey downstream. While on the River, you will experience one of the most dramatic stretches of river in the western United States. Your experienced guide will tell the story of the area’s soaring sandstone cliffs, crystal blue-green waters, abundant wildlife, exploration by Major John Wesley Powell and others, and the river's modern role in the Southwest’s water and power delivery system.A stop to view an impressive set of ancient petroglyphs will offer a you chance to stretch your legs and enjoy your lunch while bearing witness to the area’s former inhabitance by ancient native cultures. If you choose, you may also refresh yourself by wading in the cold, clear river. Come and visit the river that we love... You'll be inspired!

We used the backhaul to get our kayaks up the river to float back to Lee's Ferry. Booking process on the phone was handled well. We also went by the office in Page just to double check and get directions. The company had no maps of the river to show points of interest, camps, mileage, etc. The raft was at... More

It is maybe a bit expensive, but it is definitely worth it. We took the early trip and that was the best because it was cool on the water. Later on it was getting pretty hot so we were glad we didn't do the afternoon trip. It is a little bit early, 7:30 AM, and it could be a little... More

Me and my loved one took the one-day Colorado River motorized raft trip from the Glen Canyon Dam to Lee's Ferry on the Colorado River near Page, AZ with Colorado River Discovery and it was an outstanding trip in every sense of the word. Colorado River Discovery has a 5-star business complex right in the downtown area of Page, AZ.... More

I just read klhenry97's review below and I know I was on the same boat with him. Our guide was fun to be with such a disaster of booking and loading passengers. This was her first trip with people and we kept telling her that the other guides must be initiating her since they all left us alone on the... More

We drove 5 hours only to discover they cancelled our trip. They claimed to have called and left a message ... They didn't!!! But They sent an email to notify us 2 hours into our trip... Which we didn't get, because who checks email while driving!! They didn't apologize or suggest any other alternative activity while there! Women at desk... More

We were a group of 5 and we were all happy with the experience. We had 18 people on our raft and we were all very comfortable. Our guide was very knowlegeable and funny. She had pictures to go along with the information she was sharing. The heat was intense so she edged the raft over to a *small* water... More

My wife and I came here as a slight deviation from our route 66 trip. We had a magical afternoon on a raft popping down the canyon. Our guide was most knowledgeable and friendly ...we also had a few laughs. The trip was around 4.5 hours and great value. There is free water and lemonade on the raft, and you... More

I was so looking forward to the 1/2 day smooth water trip!! Unfortunately, I wasn't too impressed. Our guide, I don't want to say his name as he was so nice, was not very knowledgable and it was so obvious he didn't know much! Paying what we did for 6 people... I wish he at least knew the native wildlife...'good... More

First, I must say the bad experience was not the River Guide's fault. She did the best job she could do. First, take the advice given in the pre-trip briefing to hydrate and wear clothing that will shade you from the sun. Sunscreen is a must. We took a half-day trip that started in the morning and was to last... More

Our family had a great time on the 1/2 day river float trip. We did the morning ride and I wish I had brought a jacket because you are in and out of the shade as the sun rises. Shannon did a great job sharing stories with us- my family got a glimpse of life in the West!
