We found this parkway in Grand Teton much better to drive than those in Yellowstone. Fewer pot holes, slightly wider roadway and less traffic. Many turning-off points for things to see and places to hike. Very enjoyable for the 3 days we visited the park.

We had to pass through it from Grand Tetons to Yellowstone right after the wildfires. This is still a very beautiful road with many areas to stop and enjoy nature

On July 25, 2016, lightning started a fire, the Berry Fire, in the vicinity of the John D. Rockefeller Jr Memorial Parkway. The Parkway was forced to close on September 12-13, just about when we arrived in Grand Teton National Park (GTNP). After reopening on September 13, we drove north from GTNP to Yellowstone National Park. The effects of this... More

We were lucky. We were just driving out of Grand Teton and happened upon this stretch of road, heading north to Yellowstone. We were lucky. We were staying at the North Entrance of Yellowstone, but we went ahead and entered via the South. What a great day. What a great drive. There is a lodge up on this road: Headwaters... More

Beautiful Scenic Drive with lots of possible wildlife sightings. Take your time and drive slow for best chances of wildlife sightings.

We drove up the highway from grand Teton and got to see the recent forest fire area. Miles and miles of charred timber. It will be interesting to see how the area changes over the coming years with new growth. Saw coyotes in the area.

Took this road from Yellowstone South entrance to the Grand Tetons. It is very scenic. You will past the Continental Divide, waterfall and drive along the river. If you have extra time left over in Yellowstone, definitely try to see the Grand Tetons. They are a majestic sight.

It kind of silly to rate a road esp. since its about the only way to get from the Tetons to Yellowstone. However, we owe a huge debt of thanks to Rockefeller who donated much of the Tetons and well as Acadia NP to the country. He had to jump through many hoops and almost had to force the government... The easy scenic way to connect Grand Teton with Yellowstone. Different scenery, more wooded than mountainous.
