We went to the Goodard visitor space centre with my child to show her the space activity been conducted by NASA. This space center is perhaps a bit small in size. It as one large hall in which all the work is displayed in the form of exhibition. All the exhibits are placed close to each other and there was... More

What a place. If you're interested in science, space exploration, this is the place to be! I took my 9 year old grandson there on Sept.26, 2015 for the Open House. NASA opened 10 buildings to the public. They were celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Hubble Space Telescope! We were able to go where they are now building it's... More

The Visitors Center at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center is small, but contains major artifacts of the space age. They have a boilerplate 2-person Gemini capsule you can get in to see how roomy it is, and an Apollo capsule. The tall Delta rocket dominates the outside, surrounded by several smaller sounding rockets. The gift shop has an assortment of... More

We spent 5 hours here with our 6-year old twin boys on a recent trip to Washington DC. After the crowds and walking and exhaustion of the National Mall attractions, this place was perfect. The visitor center is small and uncrowded, so we could let our boys roam at will without worrying about keeping track of them. The exhibits are... More

I believed this visitor center to be a greater experience for space than the Smithsonian. Air and Space Museum. They have a lot of flatscreen a with interactive learning for grade school children and give tours during regular business days of their exhibits on the back property. One caution, it is quite a way from the Greenbelt Metro terminal so... More

Very interesting. The area is very cool . you get a lot for your money . All staff is perfect . You can see great picture and perfect video show. Amazing simulator. One of the best in my vacation. You do not have to be a lover of space to enjoy the area.

As with other NASA visitor centers (outside of Orlando/Houston), this museum was small but still had some nice exhibits. Highlight is rocket garden outside, with an old Delta in the middle. Nice afternoon outing.
