You can't just wander in, but there is a nice visito's center and giftshop, with inside and outside displays. Popular with school visits. Large parking lot. Lots of rockets, spacecraft, and equipment to see. Try to catch the "Science on a Sphere" presentation. Knowledgable staff.

Very informative. No time to take in the four hour movie which is broadcast in short segments. The visitor’s center closed at three so skipped the film.

If you are looking for a small museum away from the crowds -Goddard Space Museum is a great choice. The displays are interesting and interactive for both adults and children. You can easily spend an hour walking through indoor and outdoor spaces. A leisurely drive...More

Worth the stop considering it's free! Some cool plaques and whatnots. Mostly everything is a copy or simulation of the real stuff. Lots of interactive displays. Good for kids. Wouldn't want to have paid for it, but it kills an hour.

We stopped by here, on Labor Day weekend and could not have been happier. This place is very interactive. It's not a "no no, don't touch that!" Kind of place. There are lots of displays and touch screens for kids to touch and learn. When...More

We stopped by while in town, and although it's quite small there are a few things to see and learn: our total stay was only about 20 minutes. After that we went to the gift shop which was excellent. Lots of NASA branded hats and...More

Hubs and I have been to obscure places before but this was probably one of the most boring places I've been. It wasn't up to par with other NASA museums I've been to by any means. Not worth the traffic we sat in getting here.

Small but nicely arranged space exhibits. The solar room shows the surface of the Sun popping and blazing. Outside is the rocket garden and the Astrobiology walk were cool. The staff were pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable.

We visited this facility with our son expecting an experience similar to those we have enjoyed at Cape Canaveral and Houston complexes of Nasa. However, this is a very disappointing experience. The visitor centre itself has a few model exhibits of the Hubble and the...More
