it was good to see the memorial to those who tried to save the colours and the route survivors of Isandlwana took on their way to Rourke's Drift. a nice view of the Zebra's and Giraffe can be had as well.

We have all seen the film, but it does not prepare you for the experience of actually being there. A good guide is essential to get the full benefit.

The grave of the brave young man who died saving the queens color, indeed the colors got lost.. it's amazing place to be you have a 89% chance to see game animals like zebra, girafe, impala etc

I would suggest comfortable walking shoes (no sandals or flipflops). In terms of clothing, long trousers are my personal preference if you're walking on trails but shorts should be fine.
