So there aren't a lot of hills, this might not be the place for a work-out style hike, but what this place is amazing for is a casual stroll. I think this place would be great for kids because they can try to find all...More

I’ve started breaking up longer car trips to include overnight stops and a visit to favorite bookstores, new museums, battlefields, etc. so I recently was able to visit Guilford Courthouse National Military Park, preserving a major portion of the battlefield in modern Greensboro, North Carolina....More

Before Gettysburg a crucial battle in the Revolutionary War took place on this hallowed site. This park is well done. If you get the opportunity to see a reenactment that, too, is fascinating. Worth the visit.

We were touring the roadside attractions site when we came across this battlefield. We really enjoyed the history and time spent. Humbling part of a super fun day!

Thought I was going to a Civil War battleground, pleasantly surprised. I started with the movie which was a bit long but really informative. I did the auto tour, it was hot and I had gotten caught in a storm the day before. The park...More

Flew into town to visit my daughter who was working in the area and had some time to kill. Found the Courthouse National Military Park. The visitors center is well worth stopping to see two video presentations on the history of the battle. They also...More
