We use the Guilford Courthouse National Military Park to walk 4 miles during the weekdays. Always feel safe and a fun place to walk.

Site of a pivotal 1781 battle in the Revolutionary War's Southern Campaign, Guilford Courthouse today is Greensboro's favorite walking site. You can view filmed recreation of the battle in the main building. Audio tapes for walkers offer expert commentary at key sections of the battlefield.

I took 2 of my grandsons to the park. We went to each monument learning about the Battle of Guilford Courthouse while throwing a frisbee along the way. My grandsons are 12 & 11. The frisbee made learning about history much more fun and they...More

This park is a great place to take your family to learn about history and exercise. I've walked this park and its connected the greenway with my family for 30 years. The trails are paved for easy access walking, running biking and wheelchair access.

Staff are very knowledgeable at the visitor center and the video is great. Also a wonderful area to walk around and look at statues and other history. I walk my dog in the area weekly.

Just got your question. Hope this answer isn't too late. I spent about 30 minutes there since I teach US History and the staff was overly accommodating to me. There is a brief film and the outside buildings.

There are no picnic areas in the battlefield park out if respect. What the others here are referring to is called Country Park which is right next to the battlefield. There are short trails between them.

You can call 336-525-3009 and it will start the tour. It also sends you a link to the web site that was a little easier to use.
