I have visited this town six times and still love it. Stayed at a traditional hotel which was great value for money. Little English is spoken in the town bu everyone is helpful. I would recommend an overnight stay in Zhouzhuang.

Magnificent views with lots to do and see (cheap too). You can use an app called didi for transportation to and from water town.

If you are in the area, it is worth going to visit. Just try to see the village for what it was and leave the tourist shops behind. The fascinating part is realizing that part of the town still works and operates, walk towards those...More
