Kanyakumari Devi is the presiding deity of this temple. Kanyakumari Devi is a manifestation of Goddess Shakti or Parvati. She had meditated and performed penance to get Lord Shiva. Due to some reasons, her marriage couldn't get completed and hence she is worshiped as unmarried goddess or KumariDevi. The temple is beautiful and has good architecture. It was not very... More

This is a beautiful temple situated on the main road, you can visit it once you have finished visiting the Vivekananda memorial.

Good temple well maintained. Those visiting this city must take blessing of Amman. Gents have to remove their shirt and inners to go inside. Good market outside the temple for buying. Bargain well as prices quoted are high

If you can't offer money to the saints, don't dare to wait more time in the front, as they might push you or slap your hand, which you put ahead for offering. Offerings to the lord would be thrown down on the floor, if it is not offered with money. Smelling & dirty place.

The temple is right next to the Jetty where the ferry leaves for Vivekanandar Rock. So, it's good for a quick visit. As we visited quite a few temples during this visit, I'm unable to recollect anything outstanding in this Temple other the fact that it is right on the beach with good views of the sea. Shirts not allowed... More
