A Serene Escape: Ujung Water Palace's Blend of Beauty and History
Visited Ujung Water Palace on my last trip to Bali, and I must say, it's a place that shouldn't be missed! The grounds are massive with well-maintained gardens, serene ponds, and elegant bridges that create a magical backdrop for photos. I was blown away by the beautiful architecture, reflecting a rich blend of Balinese and European styles. The views of Mount Agung in the distance added to the charm, making the whole experience truly breathtaking. Though it can get a bit crowded, especially during peak hours, there's plenty of space to find a quiet spot and take in the tranquil surroundings. The entrance fee was reasonable, and I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The only downside? I wish I had brought a hat and some sunscreen, as the sun was pretty intense. But hey, that's on me! If you're in Bali and looking for a place that offers beauty, history, and a dash of the unexpected, Ujung Water Palace is worth a visit. Definitely a highlight of my trip! 🌺

    A place of serene tranquility
We struck gold with our driver/guide, his knowledge of the Taman Ujung Water Palace was exceptional and ensured that we spent more time here than originally envisaged. We arrived early and were able to wander and enjoy the serene tranquility of the complex with, perhaps, only another dozen or so tourists. The large pools are a feature and compliment the architecture of the various buildings and structures surrounding. Bridges join the shoreline to the central pavilion built on an island in the centre of the pools area. The amazing gardens showcase varieties of tropical flora and pathways meander through the billiard table like grassed areas. Wonderful facility and I believe should be on every Bali visitor's bucket list.

Another beautiful place in the treasury of travel in Bali. Nature is amazing, everything here is created for peace and meditation. Take a private guide, it will also be informative. There is a cafe in front of the entrance to refresh yourself.

    Hidden Gem in Bali
Prior to visiting Bali, I never heard of Ujung Water Palace. It was included as a stop on an East Bali tour and was one of the highlights. I loved the surrounding environment and beautiful gardens. The palace itself was just alright, but everything surrounding the palace was just beautiful. Ujung Water Palace is worth a stop.

A must visit historical garden in Amed!
I stumbled upon this place when googling looking for places to visit in Amed. It was spacious, well-maintained and beautifully structured. Recommended to visit if you have time. Somehow the entrance fee is quite expensive - Rp100K per person/entry for international tourist - I personally think that Rp50K would be a reasonable fee.

Beautiful gardens. History. Make it a part of your day trip North.
Visited early in the morning at 9:30 am and only us and 2 other travellers. Beautiful gardens and buildings. Historical photos giving history of the King/royal family and the Dutch. Walk the steps to the top for great views and photos. Cheap entry tickets (less than $10 au pp). Not a time consuming visit (30 mins) to look around. Recommended as part of a day trip North.

Such a beautiful and tranquil location. The hike up the steps can be taxing but worth the view. Truly a palace worthy of a king. The township around the palace looks tidy as well.

We loved this visit, to see a bit of the history, and the stunning gardens, with the mountains in the background. Lots of steps to get best views but worth it for sure.

we are very happy to be able to visit here, the place is big and clean, with natural views that are still beautiful, lots of photo spots,, this is a very old building, the atmosphere here is very cool to enter this place, it's not too expensive, you can walk around until you're tired, so We and our friends were very satisfied playing at the Edge Park in the eastern part of Bali

nice place to visit and not at all crowded. However, I think tourists pay too much. we paid Rp150,000 for two.....it is a lot when locals only pay 15,000 each.
