Alas Kedaton temple and forest is located in Kukuh countryside, Marga Sub district, Tabanan Regency . It is a small forest measuring about 6-7ha located in the middle of the rice field in Tabanan regency, west part of Bali. In this place you'll see hundreds of monkeys in their natural habitat. It's one of the Bali attractions where monkeys exist, free and peaceful. High up on the big trees many bats area hanging and singing with their loud voices. It's very easy for the visitor to make videos, pictures - and meals might be taken in to offer to monkeys although sometimes this will make you a target for a monkey mugging which might be an interesting experience

There is nothing much to see except monkeys. There is a tiny temple somewhere, but you cannot go there. There is some forest nearby, but you cannot go there. You walk around a small territory with many monkeys and flying foxes. When you arrive a woman in uniform jumps to your car and tells you that she will be your... More

Located an hour away from city center. At this place, you can look at the monkey even since you stepped out from your car. Actually, there is nothing much to see except the monkey itself. When you're walking around, you will be guided by local tour guide who might be not asking for a tip but probably guided you to... More

really glad I went....the english speaking guide was very pleasant and helpful. There were only a few westerners there but quite a lot of domestic tourists and it was so much nicer than Ubud monkey forest. There are a few things that would improve the experience, but overall I would recommend it. We give it 2 thumbs up :)

Very quiet place which we liked! loads of monkey awaiting to jump but the local guide will help and guide and also help taking pictures. Beautiful nature and flying fox. If wished can get stuff from the guide's shop. Since i read the reviews i knew the expectations (not a must can always say no and go) and got few... More

Hi guys, There is not much to see. It was pretty deserted, I did not see any other tourists. A lady tried to "guide" us around. There are many monkeys here. The monkeys here seem to be aggressive. The guide had a stick with her. There is also a spot with flying foxes, where you can take a photo holding... More

We went here because we had extra time. It was pretty deserted, I did not see any other tourists. A lady tried to "guide" me around. There are many monkeys here though not quite as organized as the Ubud Monkey forest. The monkeys here did not seem as aggressive though. There is also a spot with Bats where you can... More

It was a good visit. The place is not swarming with tourists, but filled with monkeys. You can feed them with peanuts if you would like (a small bag of peanuts costs about 2k IDR). As always when visiting monkeys, don't wear things they could steal (glasses, hanging scarfs, long earrings they could pull), don't leave your bag open, don't... More

A quick visit is okay here. It will just take you an hour to visit the place Upon entering a guide will go with you. She has a stick to avoid naughty monkeys We were also told not to use our shades/eye glasses, and any plastic because the monkeys might get it. Cellphones and cameras are okay. Do not also... More

A quite little temple full of monkeys, very naughty ones. My teen kids loved it. We hand fed the monkeys nuts. They were great fun to watch. The entrance fee came with a guide who kept the monkeys in order. A great little stop.
