I spent c. 90min in Gunung Kawi, there´s a lot of stairs (down, and back up), but it´s all worthwile doing as the temples are beautiful, the views are nice and it´s all well kept. Recommended for early morning to avoid the heat...bring a sarong,...More

The temple is right next to tirta empul so you shouldn’t miss it. You have to climb down many stairs. That’s easy, just the way back is a little harder ;) the temple itself is inside the rock so the walk is worth it!

This place is just spectacular, it was a 50,000 Rupiah entrance fee but worth every penny. We didn't expect it to be so amazing as from the outside you cant really see anything. We had already brought a sarong but as with all the paid...More

Pros: Temple surrounded by rice fields and waterfalls, great location for the views Cons: 200 odd steps to climb down and up so can be tiring Overall: highly recommend, one of the best attractions near ubud

Beautiful and special temple close to our Villa in Sebatu. Very quiet and tranquil in comparison to the other temples, but very special on it's own. We really enjoyed it plus feeding the fish was the highlight of our third visit to it.

Whilst not very far from Tirta Empul temple, visiting here was a vastly different experience. \if nothing else, it was much less busy, which may be attributable to the fact that there are 291 steps down to the temples which have to be climbed to...More

If you do not drive then get a taxi, or make it part of a tour. There is not enough to do there to occupy a whole day, and it is a long way from Kuta or Nusa Dua for a short visit
