Gunung Lambak is very near the town of Kluang, a couple of hours by bus from Singapore. Wikipedia had earlier informed me that it is not very high for a mountain. But, as I stood at the base looking up at the summit about 500 metres above me, I suddenly realized that – maybe – Wikipedia and I have very... More

I was borned here hence visited the tract since childhood days, when it was not officially "upgraded" by the local authorities as a recreational park. Sadly, it was far better the condition with free flow natural stream to cool us off after a short hike to the mountain. My recent visit saw the valley had turned dry with man made... More

Went for a leisure hike at Gunung Lambak on Sunday, 16 October '16. No intention to reach the summit (would take about 4-5 hours up and down; physically challenging; and it requires some fitness level preparation). We went to the mid-way point (800m mark). The tracks were broad, easy to walk, gradient was comfortable, and a good pair of walking... More

Great place to train the legs for longer treks. The direct route to the summit from Kluang side and the route up to the summit from "The Big Tree" are very steep and necessitate the use of the fixed ropes to assist the climbs. Other routes are more gentle. Our group did the two steep ascents mentioned with rests at... More

Beautiful place with nicely set up track . Easy to follow but gives great exercise. You can chose to climb to the mid point or go all the way to the peak . I did to midway and it took 1 hour for a round trip . I heard making to the peak will take a min of 2 hours... More

There are 2 main trails on the mountain, it will take about 4hours to complete both trails, you can slowly hike/walk up and catch the town view at the summit at 510m. Only some parts of the trails are paved, do have a proper cover shoes for the walk. Hikers can end the trip with a dip at the swimming... More

Nice for early morning hiking when weather is still cool. There is a small water park at the foot for the hill which are full of local coming for a swim or picnic during weekend. Car park are surrounded by fruits and food carts. Truly a place favored by locals.

The parking bays are occupied by groups of people performing line dancing, and fan dancing or taiji exercises early in the morning. Love the fresh air and occasionally meeting old friends on the way up. Monkeys can be seen at times. There are different ways to get to the top. Enjoy the panoramic view.
