We are closed for the month of January. Garvan Woodland Gardens, the University of Arkansas' 210 acre botanical garden, is one of eight public, woodland gardens in the country and the only one located on a body of water. The Asian garden is ranked as the fifth best in North America, and in 2012 Garvan Woodland Gardens was named as one of the Top Five Most Spectacular Gardens In America. Over five miles of trails, unique bridges, waterfalls, a Children's Adventure Garden, and architectural wonder Anthony Chapel wedding complex are some of the highlights. View brilliant blooms year-round and one of the state's most elaborate outdoor holiday lights displays with over 4 million lights from mid-November through December; special night time hours. Admission: $15 adults, $5 ages 4-12, free ages 3 and under. Golf cart rides available on a first come first served basis for additional $15 per person. Chipmunk Cafe open 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. daily. Pet friendly and many ADA accessible trails.

A wonderful place to visit. The gardens are expansive. They do offer golf carts and drivers if walking is not your thing. Paved paths around gardens of every type. The Christmas light display in December is a must.

We arrived right when it opened so we didn't have to wait too long to get to a parking spot - I have heard that the wait can be hours so I would recommend getting there well before 5 or whenever it opens. We brought...More

We went to Night Lights after Christmas while on a trip to Hot Springs. So much fun if a bit pricey. The walk is beautiful with lights and music everywhere. Hanging from trees, arches, and freestanding displays. For folks who can't walk that far there...More

We went for the Chapel. Awesome Architecture! All 4 buildings associated with the Chapel are neat. If you like Frank Lloyd Wright, you will love this building. I did not visit the rest of the park.

Beautiful Christmas lights! The cold weather and it being after Christmas kept the crowds smaller, but definitely worth walking through with the family. I believe they had golf cart tours for mobility impaired but not sure if that was included or extra cost.

Visit to take a nice slow walk in the woods. There is a paid garden section and then another simply open to the public. Notice the peacocks wandering around. Also the chapel in the woods. Nice way to spend an hour or two.

The lights were beautiful. We travel for work and are away from our family this holiday season. We decided to enjoy the nice weather and go see the lights while we had a chance.

It was too early for fall colors when we went but I would think early to mid-November you would see an abundance of fall colors.
