We stopped here on the day of our departure and wished we could of stayed longer exploring the different era war rooms. There is much to see and read about our country's history in a well laid out display. Will definitely come again!

We stopped in while visiting Madison. This museum is by no means huge, but an excellent way to kill an hour or two. Lots of great exhibits to read. Not much for the kids to put their hands on but a lot of cool peices.

I was a Madison resident for 22 years. I had seen two earlier iterations of this museum but somehow never made it to this "new" site. I moved away but was back for a visit and determined to get over here. Wow! It's hard to...More

Stopped here during our capitol area walkaround. Small museum, but had some great artifacts like a P-51 Mustang, a Vietnam era Huey helicopter, and some rare weapons. It's free, but they take donations to keep the place going. Worth a visit.

This is a small, 2-room museum in an unremarkable building across the street from the Capitol and the Wisconsin Historical Museum (also recommended) in the middle of downtown Madison. In those 2 rooms, however, is an excellent review of the military history of Wisconsin and,...More

A great free museum on the square in Madison. It is an excellent venture to share the military history of the US & Wisconsin with youth.

Amazing museum with great exhibits for FREE! Would visit every day. Only downside is the cost of parking. Also, can something be done about the homeless people on the side of the building? I was very uncomfortable walking by and one of them tried to...More

This stop offered a very interesting, educational experience for my family. You can choose to focus on a specific war or travel through history and see the evolution of guns, equipment, and even planes are on exhibit. Well worth the visit with multiple generations.
