At first, when I walked in, I thought it would be a kind of boring experience, but the architecture is awesome. I was surprised at how much was public access, even though it is pretty quiet. There is also lots of great art work, and...More

Went to the Capitol on the third Saturday in April and there was a Farmers Market! What a pleasant surprise. We are from the food trucks and it was such a great experience.

Free tours are offered several times during the day. We chose the 1pm time slot. When we arrived, we were informed that we'd be joined by about 40 4th graders and their teachers, but not to worry, since the tour guides were very experienced with...More

Wisconsin state capitol was truly magnificent. Having been to the US Capitol, I did not expect more from a state capitol. Surprisingly, this state capitol exceeded my expectations. The US Capitol rotunda was resplendent with exquisite paintings rather than the architecture of the rotunda. But...More

When I went into the capitol, they did not search me, and I took a camera. So I believe that you may be able to bring them in.
There was very little damage done to the capitol, if any, by the protesters. I was there and witnessed the over 100,000 people who respected that building to the utmost degree. The media was completely incorrect in its reporting of damage done. Oh yes, the lawn was trashed. That's what happens when so many people are fighting for their rights.

The rotunda has been open for several days now. No more "Do Not Enter" tape, no barriers. Just walk right in and take in the unexpected beauty of this amazing building.
