New Orleans Ghost, Voodoo & Vampire Walking Tour

3,019 reviews
New Orleans is infamous for its spooky past, filled with tales of voodoo, vampires, ghosts, and witches. During this walking tour, save time with a guide who knows the quickest routes around the Big Easy and brings the folklore and history of the city to life, all during the creepiest time of day—the night. Plus, a centrally located meeting point makes for a hassle-free, fun evening.

Well organized but very very sad vibe, everything was closed (as expected due to COVID) would've been nice to have the food stands open and other activities. The Maya section is very pretty and all the animals looked well cared. Gift shop has tons of stuff, kind of pricy but worth it.

We went to the zoo today, having bought timed tickets last night. There was no crowd at the gate to get in at 1pm. I had last been there about 30 years ago (we live in Virginia) and really enjoyed it. Not everything is open, but we spent 3 1/2 hours there and didn’t see everything. Everyone was supposed to be wearing a mask and most people were. I especially appreciated the zoo employees who were gently reminding people who weren’t complying.

This is the 2nd time in our last 3 visits here that we've left feeling underwhelmed. We live an hour from the zoo and recently took our family of 4 (2 kids) on a beautiful, cool Friday morning. Yet, most of the animals that WERE available were sleeping (not that the zoo can help that, I guess), but there were a lot of stops with no animals and a few things were closed due to Covid (reptile house, petting zoo, train, to name a few). But I certainly paid full price, $100 total. Also, they are staggering visit times to go with online tickets. We went when it opened and there were a ton of people, walkways cramped, and not much distancing going on. So if you're not going to really enforce all of that, just open the whole thing up! We had a nice picnic in the beautiful open grounds area and enjoyed the baboon family and a few other spots. But all in all, left feeling a bit ripped off. We probably won't return anytime soon.

There were only a few animals actually out to view. Train was closed. All actual shows or anything else was all closed. And they still charged us full price for not even half of what they offer!!!

Got our tickets online so we were checked in out front. No line no waiting. The zoo is laid out with directional path to keep you safe during the Covid. Plenty of room to social distance. Now that's out of the way... one of the most beautiful zoos I've ever been too. The landscape is amazing with the live oaks and tropical flowers , much of the habitat is natural and we literally saw every animal except one! Most were in easy view and that has never happened in our other zoo adventures ! I think this zoo is a must do for anyone who loves animals and beautiful scenery ! The baby orangutan was my favorite. The historical Cajun exhibits were great too.
