Ride with us at Confederacy of Cruisers, New Orleans original and oldest...

Ride with us at Confederacy of Cruisers, New Orleans original and oldest bike tour company. Going on 10 years of great tours and great customers keeping us feeling like the luckiest folks in New Orleans every day when we come to work. The tour that started them all and our others, the Culinary, the History of Drinking and our combined Pedal to Paddle with our friends at Kayakityat.

New Orleans is so more than the French Quarter and we want to show you what most visitors don't get to experience. The heart of our city is seen through its other historic neighborhoods on the Creole side of Town, the beautiful Faubourg Marignyand Bywater; and there is no better way to explore them than with New Orleans' original bicycle tour company. Join us as we take you for a bike ride around the old streets and tell you the stories of the New Orleans that most tourists miss. The ride is relaxed, with plenty of time to ask questions, and a stop along the way at a neighborhood bar where you can find out all you want about local life while drinking a delicious Bloody Mary, if you like (water or nothing are also fine choices). For those who want to delve a little deeper, we offer a tasty Neighborhood Culinary Tour and a Historic Drinking Tour (where you get to indulge as you learn), all travelling through our our city like the locals do, on easy to ride classic cruiser bicycles. One speed, slow.

We had pretty high hopes beforehand but the tour overshot all our expectations. Our tour guide was walking encyclopaedia on New Orleans history and it's people. We could not have hoped for a better day! I would recommend this to anybody.

We had a great time riding around parts of town with Victor. His stories and personal experiences were entertaining and added to the fun. Victor handled the pending rainstorm very well and we enjoyed each of our stops.

Because of the weather, the tour was limited a bit in time and scope, and this was really my only concern. The three hours we did have though, were full of good food and information. Victor was a terrific guide, and his knowledge and passion for New Orleans was evident the whole tour. I've taken a number of food tours,... More

Next time we want to do the tour where you get tastes of food on the bike tour. Bikes are cruiser bikes so easy for anyone to ride, remember NOLA is flat!!! lol I... More

I decided to surprise my sister on her first trip to New Orleans with this bike tour. We had such a blast! Met at the park at 10am and started with a classic daiquiri. Each beverage (5 total) was perfectly tailored to the location and tied in with New Orleans culture and history. Our guide, Derek, is a local whose... More

We took the Creole tour with Cassady as our guide. He had a great amount of historical information that he was able to use in a humorous and fun manner on this tour. My friend and I immensely enjoyed our tour with him. He also recommended a couple of places to eat near where we were going that were excellent!... More

Great tour; Victor has amazing knowledge, we certainly learnt more than we expected to about the history of food in the south. Victor built the tour around places he thought we'd enjoy...he was right! A great day! Thanks Victor!

Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighbourhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
