The area
Address
Neighbourhood: Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

Looking a bit tired since I was there last.
I had not been here for a few years. The place was looking a bit tired and needs a revamp. I could see some areas were closed off so hopefully this is going to happen soon. It also didn't look as bust as it used to be. Still an enjoyable place to visit though.

Clean, With a Few Down Machines
This casino is non-smoking inside, which makes the place quite pleasant to be in. Even though I was there on a Friday night, it was not packed. The casino is clean, but I knocked one star because they do have quite a few machines offline. They also look to be doing some construction, which may impact some patrons.

    Great Location, No win Casino
Nice Hotel and good lookin' Casino floor. Plenty of Gaming and I play a lot of places all over the country. Vegas, AC, Biloxi, PA and then some. This place pays out very little. I couldn't pull a quarter out of this place. 3 days of play in High Limits and Table games and not a dime. The best thing about this place is the location it sits in one of my favorite cities on the planet. Close proximity to all. Hence the 3 stars otherwise it would have been 2 strs.

    Not worth second trip
This is a mixed review. We did enjoy but was still Very disappointing. Reason is they had hardly no table games open, maybe 15 or so. The lowest minimum was one table for $10 which is fine. However the game was high flush so really to play it was $30 per hand if you played whole hand. $10 min bet then $5 each for flush and straight flush. No you don’t have to play them but it’s a boring game if you don’t. Roulette same way, min bet one one table $15. The average couple can’t afford to bet $30 total per hand for the two of them. Won’t be going back to New Orleans again.

    Nice sports book.
This casino is really big. It’s the only one outside of Las Vegas that’s ever felt like Las Vegas. It’s clean and has several food choices. The sports book is really awesome.

Ive been to many casinos and this was by far the most fun I have had at one. We arrived Friday night and went to eat at one of the restaurants upon arrival and there was a DJ playing music throughout the whole casino. It was such a vibe. Cant wait to go back.

First let me say on the first night there my boyfriend was woken up to a loud banging on our room door. He ignored it cause he thought it was someone that was drunk. Then he heard the same person with a key card UNLOCK our door and attempted to open it. Thank God I always put the latch in the lock position!!! He went to the door and did not see anyone through the peep hole. It was reported and we were issued new keys.
The room was ok. The bathroom was clean and the bed was comfortable. We requested maid service never got it. Had to request new towels a couple of times. Never saw any maid service in the halls. Drink service at the slots doesn't exist. The bar tenders were nice in the casino. Won't stay here again.

All-around miserable casino. Boring, poor service, very low payouts even playing games conservatively eith a large starting bankroll. Mostly slots or video-based games (all pay out more poorly than any casino I've ever been in). Only $25+ blackjack tables, even during the day. Spent more than 4 or 5 hours sitting and gambling without a single drink offered. Across the board, saw no one winning anything, at any game. Naturally pretty empty, boring, and employees are impossible to find. Skip it and burn the dollars you were planning to spend. It'll be more pleasant and you'll have more time to enjoy the rich history and beauty of literally anything else in New Orleans.

I was in the casino recently on a trip to New orleans. while I was there I encountered one of your security guards who appeared to be high, like really high. He was a black male around 5'11 with twist or locks in his hair. he has a mustache and goatee. it was around 945 pm. He was so high he was stumbling over his words. his badge was not noticeable as it was turned around. I'm not sure if your casino has a drug policy but a drug test of this young man would be a good thing.Really need to do something about thos young man.

Don’t stay here unless you like no sheets on the bed, making your own bed after asking for sheets 3x, no house keeping, and no fresh towels

Yet again, winning at blackjack and the casino sends in coolers to the high end tables. A 50s couple who pretended to be whacked on on crystal meth or some derivative. Good acting job on their part, or at least I hope they were acting. In any event, pit bosses let them have their fun.

The casino security was racist and only gave those that were a certain race a hard time. They waived many one race of people through with not scanning of ID but stopped me and my daughter. They took her out of state license and questioned her, asked her to "sign her name" then saying that wasn't her signature (???), then said they were keeping her ID because they thought she was not of age. I asked for the casino manager, and eventually got a dis-shelved looking woman - who refused to show me her identification. She only would verbally give me a name.I asked to call the police if they thought it was not her correct ID. They pretended like they would but made me continue to wait and then said that would take too long. I then asked to have our IDs returned and we would leave. All the while they were waiving in one race of people through, calling them "sweetie" , only stopping a few people they deemed they should - and always the one race of people -and left us standing there waiting. Not to mention they were dressed like unprofessional slobs with spider eyelashes, to tight button up shirts, oversized jewelry and spoke like common-uneducated hourly employees. They refused to give me my daughters ID and eventually we got tired of waiting for the police. I did not think this is what a reputable company would allow! Not only did they abused there authority, were unprofessional and punitive they exhibited very reverse racist behavior as I sat there and watched them for about an hour. Before I left, I wrote down names that they would only "verbally" give since they would not present their ID to confirm the names. I reported them Monday morning. DO NOT VISIT THIS ESTABLISHMENT. Run by a bunch of unprofessional racist Dictator power hungry racist. Shame on you CEASARS./ HARRAHS. NEVER AGAIN. YOUR ESTABLISHMENT IS TRASHY unprofessional and CLASSLESS
My husband a few month before this went to place a bet and the woman at the teller window was also a hot headed reverse racist. She refused to let him know what the minimum bet was to bet without a rewards card -and then was whooping and hollering at another employee to not give him the information! Like loudly! We laughed at the nutcase at the time about her rude unprofessional reveres racist behavior, but after two interactions?---apparently they allow this at HARRAH New Orleans. They need to clean house!!

Yet again, place filled with loud drunks. Empty cups all over gaming tables. Can't win a hand. Haven't seen anyone last more than 15 minutes at a table before walking off having lost.
