I walked from the St. Charles street car stop to the other end of the park. It was a nice walk. Lots of shade and places to sit down and admire the views.

A picturesque setting for the Nature Institute and Zoo are along a bend of the Mississippi. Audubon was THE naturalist, so the educational elements of this park are seriously terrific. While you're here, nearby are the historic and pretty campuses of Tulane and Loyola universities....More

Get away from the traditional New Orleans sights, and enjoy a quiet walk among hundred year old trees, and a multitude of waterfowl. Park also features a golf course, and easy access to the zoo.

This is a good park for strolling and sitting in the sun on a park bench. We walked along the river/pond and saw many different kinds of waterfowl.

This park is stunningly beautiful. It is home to the Tree of Life oak tree which is almost 500 years old. The park is sprawling and there is beauty at every turn. You could come here 100 times and discover something new and wonderful. You...More

Audubon Park is an oasis only a streetcar away from the French Quarter and well worth a few hours respite from heavy touring. We went in January and it was quite scenic but guessing it would be just fabulous in spring and summer.
